Privacy policy

What this policy covers

This policy explains how Thisfont.com handles information when you browse the font catalogue or use the site's typography tools. It should be reviewed again if accounts, advertising, analytics, newsletters, payments or other data-collecting services are added.

Information the current site may process

The web server may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, time of request and server response information in security or access logs. The current front-end also uses your browser's local storage to remember font favourites on your own device.

Font previews from third parties

Where a catalogue record uses Google Fonts as its preview provider, your browser may request font CSS or font files from Google when that preview enters the page. Those requests are made to Google's services and are subject to Google's own privacy terms. ThisFont's future locally hosted, licence-verified font files can reduce reliance on external preview requests.

Palette Burst integration

The optional Palette Burst bridge in this build is a server-side database view between two databases on the same MySQL/MariaDB environment. It does not, by itself, send visitor information to Palette Burst or to a third-party service.

Cookies and local storage

This build does not intentionally set advertising or tracking cookies. It stores font favourites in local storage so they remain available in the same browser. Your hosting platform, security layer or future services may behave differently, so this policy must be updated to match the production environment.

How long information is kept

Local favourites remain in your browser until you clear site data. Server log retention depends on the hosting and security configuration and should be documented before public launch.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights over personal information held about you, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection.
