This policy explains how ThisFont handles information when you browse fonts, explore glyphs, use typography tools, submit feedback or interact with the Exceptional Web Brands (EWB) privacy, analytics and advertising layer.

Privacy choices
Essential storage is used to remember your privacy choice and support core site functions. Optional Analytics, Advertising measurement and Personalisation are off by default and only start after you choose them. Accept all and Reject all are presented at the same level, and you can reopen Privacy choices at any time.
Information the site may process
The web server and hosting/security services may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, time of request and server-response information in access, security or diagnostic logs.
ThisFont also uses browser storage for features such as font favourites. Those favourites stay on the device/browser unless you clear them or the feature is changed.
EWB analytics and Google Analytics
If you allow Analytics, the EWB layer may process page path, page type, device class, performance events and site-scoped pseudonymous visitor/session identifiers so ThisFont can understand usage and improve the service.
ThisFont uses Google Analytics 4 through the EWB consent layer. GA4 is loaded only after Analytics consent. Before that choice, EWB sets Google analytics and advertising consent signals to denied.
Advertising
ThisFont may display clearly identified commercial placements. Contextual advertising can be selected from the page or content context without creating a behavioural profile. Advertising measurement and personalised advertising are separate optional purposes and remain controlled by your privacy choice.
Feedback
You can send feedback without enabling Analytics. If Analytics is off, EWB does not attach its optional analytics visitor/session identifier to the feedback submission. Please do not include sensitive personal information in free-text feedback.
Font previews from third parties
Where a catalogue record uses a third-party font provider such as Google Fonts, your browser may request font CSS or font files from that provider when the preview is used. Those preview requests are separate from optional EWB analytics and are subject to the provider's own terms and privacy practices.
Palette Burst integration
The optional Palette Burst bridge is a server-side database relationship used to connect typography with colour/palette information. The bridge itself does not require a portfolio-wide visitor identifier and does not by itself send a visitor's browsing history to Palette Burst.
Cookies and browser storage
EWB stores your privacy choice for up to 180 days. Site-scoped EWB visitor and session identifiers are created only when at least one optional EWB purpose is enabled and are removed when all optional purposes are switched off. Google Analytics may use its own browser identifiers after Analytics consent.

How long information is kept
Privacy-choice storage is retained for up to 180 days unless you change the choice or clear site data earlier. Font favourites remain in your browser until you remove them or clear site data. Hosting/security logs and submitted feedback are retained according to the operational need and the relevant service configuration.
Your choices and rights
You can change optional purposes at any time through Privacy choices. Depending on the circumstances, data-protection law may also provide rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent.

Changes to this policy
This page will be updated when material processing changes. If the purposes covered by the EWB consent layer materially change, the EWB policy version can be changed so visitors are asked to make a fresh privacy choice.
